JANTAROVÁ VČELA is a brand of handmade candles made from pure beeswax, built on a love of nature and the joy of creating with my own hands.

Why beeswax
A material made by bees
Beeswax is secreted by worker bees to build their honeycomb. It is one of the oldest materials people have used to make candles.

The craft
How our candles are made
Making a beeswax candle by hand takes time and patience.
Wax
We carefully prepare and clean the beeswax.
Wick
For each size of candle we choose a suitable wick.
Shape
We pour the candle by hand or roll it from sheets of wax.
Finishing
We let it mature, check it and wrap it by hand.
Candle care
So your candle burns beautifully to the end
- Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each lighting.
- The first time you light it, let the candle burn until the whole top surface has melted.
- Keep it out of draughts — it will then burn evenly and without smoke.
- Never leave it unattended and stand it on a non-flammable surface.
